Buffalo Zoo

Buffalo Zoo has the exciting responsibility of promoting public awareness of the natural world and its conservation through fun, interactive learning experiences. To accomplish that task, we provide a variety of general and specifically tailored programming at the Zoo and in the community for children and adults of all ages. Many of our programs use live animals, biofacts, tours, and/or crafts to give our audiences an educational experience to be remembered. Our education staff and core of over 150 dedicated docents come from a variety of backgrounds; therefore, each member brings a unique perspective to enhance the department’s educational offerings.
